Can I get ____ later?
Hi Everyone! I've had a lot of questions on the kickstarter and in person at the convention about being able to buy something later on RareDragons.Shop
I mentioned this a few times last year, but due to budget and space there are many items we offer on kickstarters that we do NOT offer in the online store or offer in limited ways. To clarify:
Play/Deskmats and mousepads you need to get from us either in person at a show or on a kickstarter project where we can print and ship in bulk. I'm trying to do at least one kickstarter a year to offer them.
Books and Coloring Books we sometimes have extra stock available online during the first two months of the year and again in the summer (between shows). I don't typically stock many hardcovers unless we have a book festival due to the cost. BUT you CAN get all the past books on amazon anytime.
Playing cards we stock about 15 extra decks of for shows, but I list extra on the site between show seasons if we have them.
Oracle Decks, if they are very popular on kickstarter, we stock some extra of for the site and shows. Typically this is about 10 to 15 decks and ONLY if they do really well on kickstarter.
As always stock varies based on what does well on a kickstarter project, your feedback,and what sells at events in person.
Our retail prices in the store and at shows run about $6 to $10 more for books and oracle decks. On amazon books typically are slightly more with the average hardcover being around $36 to $40.
There's never any pressure to back projects on kickstarter, I just wanted to be clear for folks asking if they can pick up the same items six months to a year later at the same prices. The answer is no, you can't. We do a lot of small projects to make new things, so we can't afford to stock a lot of past things and certainly not for long periods of time :)
Hope this makes sense and folks understand! I want to make everything available to everyone all the time for low prices, but it's just not an option most of the time. Thanks!
